A day filled with motivational thoughts and a bit of humour. My goal is to get you thinking about your goals, and to get you to take action. My goal is to show you that you can have whatever you want, because you and I are hard-wired for success. I promise to make you cry. I promise you an experience you will want to repeat again.

Tell me more about it.
You'll learn some very interesting things about how our brains work. You'll realize that no matter how high a goal you set, your brain has some hardware & software to make it happen. I will present a scientific basis for the Law of Attraction. And I'll present Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques that will help you accelerate your progress towards the achievement of your goals. In simpler words, you will learn a few techniques to program your brain, like you program a computer to make it do things, you will learn to send instructions to your brain to make your goals happen. This is based on recent research in psychology.

Whether you know it or not, you unconsciously set goals. And you are constantly busy achieving them. Unconsciously. For example, if you are a Web programmer, and your client tells you to get the response time for his Web app below a certain performance benchmark, your brain automatically internalizes that as a goal because there is a motivation to do the job and there are consequences of not doing it. Whatever the motivation is, whether it is the prospect of career progression or fear, your brain kicks off a mechansim within itself that almost guarantees that you will achieve your goal. And you do. Unless your motivation dies down or you learn that your fear was unwarranted and your job is safe whether you do this or not. That is an example of you setting a goal unconsciously and achieving it unconsciously.

There are two interesting things to note about the example above. First, when you set that goal out of fear or hope, you did not know how you could make the web app perform faster. You got the answers when you looked. And second, while we apply the motivational forces of greed, fear, hope, etc. to achieve our unconscious goals that have been imposed on us, or those that are necessary for our survival, we do not do this for the things we want in our lives. That is, we do not do this for the things we ourselves consciously desire and want. One reason for that is because we do not believe that it is possible to fulfill those wishes and desires.

Similarly, every salesman has selling goals or targets. Every business has goals. Every individual has goals, whether they know it or not. At an unconscious level, we wish to do well in every structure of our lives. Whether it is our career or relationships or finances, or business, or health, we have a vague sense of where we want to get with respect to each of these in our lives.

I am proposing that you learn the right way to set goals and then see the magic. Set goals in every structure of your life consciously -- set business goals, your career goals, your health goals, relationship goals, financial goals. And see the vast difference you will experience when you consciously begin to set goals and follow these techniques to achieve them.

The number one reason that distinguishes successful people from those that aren't, is that all successful people have goals that they work towards on an every day basis. J.C. Penny, the founder of the famous retail chain of the same name said, "Give me a stock clerk with a goal and I'll give you a man who will make history. Give me a man with no goals and I'll give you a stock clerk." And world-class business coach and author Brian Tracy remarks, "Goals is everything. Rest all is commentary."

Setting goals is the number one reason that all successful people attribute as the reason for their success. If every successful person agrees on this one truth, then surely it is worth investigating what goal setting is all about, if you too wish to be successful. This information could be worth all your success to come.
